1. WHAT IS COCOA WITH SANTA?
Cocoa with Santa is our annual Christmas event that we use as an opportunity to give back to the community. It is a fun event where you can bring your kids to get their picture made with the “real” Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus all the way from The North Pole! (I hear they’re even bringing some of their spunky elves with them this year!) Children can also enjoy hot cocoa and sweet treats at the event as well as cookie decorating for the whole family. Also, don’t miss out on making some fun crafts with the kids! Santa’s Craft Corner allows the children to make a craft while they wait for their turn with Santa. Train rides will also be available throughout the day for only $1 per ride! All aboard The Polar Express! And the only thing we ask in return? We ask that you bring either 5 canned goods or one toy per child to receive 1 free 5×7 picture with Santa per family. But these aren’t just any old pictures. These pictures have magic straight from The North Pole. Our talented photography “head elf” Lori Watson of Velvet Blue Portrait Art will be heading up the photo station again this year. You definitely won’t want to miss this magic-filled winter wonderland themed event this year! So join us on November 9th and 10th from 9am-7pm.
2. HOW DO I GET AN APPOINTMENT?
Now that you have heard about all the fun, you are probably wondering how you can get in on this fun event. Well, there are a couple of different options. We do take appointment times for this event; you can go to http://bit.ly/CocoawithSanta2019 to reserve your spot. Please make sure to pick either a Saturday paid appointment $25 or a Sunday appointment from there you fill out all the necessary information requested and then choose your appointment time, hit continue and click complete appointment. If all of our appointment times fill up before you get a chance to register have no fear! You can always still come to the event and be put in the stand-by line (please make sure to fill out the form even if you can’t make an appointment.) I know what you’re thinking – a line? I don’t want to wait in a line. It’s Santa! I have to see him now! Don’t you worry! We have perfected this event over the years and the stand-by line is not really a line at all. Longest wait time last year was about 10-15 minutes and you have all those fun activities to do while you wait! (i.e. train ride, crafts, snacks, etc.) Just think of all the fun you could be having while waiting in “line”! P.S. Don’t worry – we will call your name when it is your turn for pictures so no need to hang out by the photo station and wait! Or another great option is a VIP pass. Continue reading to find out more!
3. HOW CAN MY BUSINESS BE INVOLVED?
We are so glad you asked! We absolutely love putting on this event for the community; however, we can’t continue this event without your help. 4. WHAT IS A VIP PASS?
So how can you completely skip that line completely and not deal with the appointment times at all? You can purchase a VIP Pass for $100. Ever been to Disney and used a FastPass to bypass the lines for the rides? Well, the VIP Pass is the same concept. No appointment times are needed when you hold this coveted pass. Just walk-in at your convenience with your pass and head straight to the front of the line! This money goes back into the event to make it possible for us to continue having Cocoa with Santa. 5. WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO AFTER THE EVENT?
Wondering where your five canned goods or one toy per child goes after the event? We have several organizations that we donate those items to! Toys go to Butterfly House Child Advocacy Center in Blairsville, Georgia. While the canned goods go to Cottage Food Bank in Blairsville, Georgia. Last year, we were able to donate over $4,000 worth of toys and canned goods back into the community for this event! Isn’t that amazing? So where does the money go if your business donates or you purchase a VIP pass? All of that money goes back into the event itself. We use that money to keep this event going year after year.
