Ben and Corie Pierce were married and moved to Murphy, NC in 2004 where Ben started Invision Stone, a custom masonry, building, and landscaping company. Ben has developed a love and gift for renovating and restoring abandoned and neglected buildings.
In January 2014, Ben had a vision for the old abandoned Hackney Building in downtown Murphy. After sitting empty and dilapidated for more than 40 years, Ben had his work cut out for him. However, with years of stone, masonry, and remodeling experience under his belt, the task to remodel a hundred year old warehouse was appealing. In October that same year, they opened The Hackney Warehouse to their first event - a beautiful wedding.
Like Ben, Corie has an incredible ability for the creative. With imaginative party planning skills, and using unique decorating ideas, Corie loves to bring unique storybook ideas to fruition for weddings, parties, and events. From conception to the actual event itself, no detail is forgotten. In 2016, Corie traveled to Orlando to be certified as a Venue Professional and a Wedding Planner.
Ben and Corie are the proud parents of two children.
